Stuck with a decision?
Hi, I'm Charlotte. Your wellbeing coach, your challenger and your biggest supporter.
My path into the world of coaching people-pleasers to finally get themselves off the bottom of the priority list has been a wiggly one, and that's okay!
When I was 8 years old I decided I wanted to be a vet. Everything from then on fed into that aspiration. My choice of schools, subjects and work-experience placements. Alongside "Charlotte the animal lover" another part of me has been constant...
My ability to truly see others, to stand alongside them, and my desire to help.
At school I was the child who would go and have lunch with the child who was being bullied or left out of their friendship group. In 6th form I attended some group sessions to learn how to better support others. This left me with a stronger desire to help, but lacking the confidence in what to say.
It wasn't until vet school, when I became a Peer Supporter, completing 30 hours of training and fortnightly reflective practice for my remaining 4 years of vet school, that I truly gained the confidence to support others, without judgement, regardless of how big or small their challenges were.
Following vet school I was a Vetlife Helpline volunteer for another 6 years, continuing to provide a listening support service to fellow veterinary professionals.
In 2017, after experiencing my own struggles with burnout and depression, I was determined that I wanted to help others AVOID the downward spiral I had fallen into. Addressing the people-pleasing, the perfectionism, the imposter syndrome, the niggling background feeling of never being good enough that ultimately led me there.
And so I explored how I could professionally support others who had similar tendencies. Diplomas in Stress Management and Wellbeing as well as Personal Performance Coaching provided the professional knowledge and qualifications to add to my years of support experience and own lived experience and I began my wellbeing coaching and training practice in late 2018 alongside working in veterinary practice.
A mixture of the covid pandemic and expecting my first child led me to hang up my stethoscope and focus my attention on wellbeing coaching and training, alongside being a parent and this is where you still find me today!
My style is warm and compassionate. I create a safe space for you to express your deepest fears and desires, without judgement. I will draw out your values, your strengths and what you truly want. Whilst shining a light on the stories that you're telling yourself, and challenge the thinking that is keeping you stuck.
My mission is simple... to equip busy people-pleasers with the tools, strategies and mindset shifts they need to become lovingly powerful women.
So you can avoid burnout and not just survive, but THRIVE!
